Problem with desktop (Java) version on Windows

Claes F 3 years ago • updated by Maarten Billemont 3 years ago 3
I get the following error when I run the masterpassword-gui.jar file from cmd:

Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: com/lyndir/lhunath/mast
at java.lang.ClassLoader.defineClass1(Native Method)

at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:306)
at sun.misc.Launcher$AppClassLoader.loadClass(Launcher.java:301)
at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:247)
Could not find the main class: com.lyndir.lhunath.masterpassword.GUI. Program will exit.

I'm on Windows 7 Enterprise with Java version 1.6.0_26.
I downloaded the jar file today (July 9th).
The first line is missing some content. It should be:

Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: com/lyndir/lhunath/masterpassword/GUI : Unsupported major.minor version 51.0

Master Password requires Java 7.  Please upgrade and try again.  :-)
